Welcome to Bow Wow Blog
First let me start with I’m a jack of all trades, master of none. I’ve been fortunate enough in my 50 some years to be exposed to many wonderful, exciting and challenging experiences.
I grew up on beautiful Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. You couldn’t ask for a better place for a nature girl to thrive. I spent most of my time outdoors either participating in sports such as water/snow skiing, sailing, showing horses and dogs or exploring Black Point creating forts and turtle hunting. I have a thing for turtles don’t ask me why…. I just love watching them chill while sunbathing on fallen logs in a lagoon.
I love animals great and small
I’ve owned, trained and shown dozens of fury friends. Our (my husband Tim and I) latest passion is bird watching. The Midwest has the most diverse collection of songbirds. I can sit on my back deck at my cottage in Lake Geneva while composing this post admiring the majestic yet fragile beauty of these acrobatic creatures. My grandmother nick named me Suebird from birth. She said I looked like a 5 pound plucked chicken. I guess I’ve come full circle.
I also spent ten years in the Navy as a Cryptologist. I was stationed in Edzell Scotland, the National Security Agency (NSA) and Rota Spain.
These days I split my time between Lake Geneva and Naples Florida. I’m passionate about gardening, decorating, sewing, a self-proclaimed foodie and all things domestic. My hope is that we come together as a community of like minded divas (male or female) and share tips and tricks, life experiences as well as tales of our four legged friends. So let the journey begin.
